The UK Government has launched a £560 million programme to help to transform the lives of people across the UK. Blaenau Gwent council has received funding through the UK Shared Prosperity fund to support the development of numeracy in adults across the county.
Numeracy means being able to use maths competently in your daily life, at home, and at work. It includes managing money at home, helping your children with their homework, understanding statistics in the news, and improving job-related maths skills.
Enhancing numeracy skills can increase the likelihood of employment, higher wages, and improved well-being. It also opens doors more training opportunities, paving the way for securing a higher paying, skilled job!
